SPECIAL PLEA - CAN YOU HELP BILOXI???

We have a special and unusual situation.....Biloxi is a four month old siberian puppy who only weighs 20 pounds. He was hit by a car and is currently in a shelter in MS. A nationwide plea has produced no results and this little guy needs surgery quickly. His pelvis and femur are fractured and are starting to mend improperly. If he does not get prompt care he will be lame for the rest of his life~ if he is not euthanized at the shelter.

Of course this is out of our area but one of our foster Dad's is in MS every other week for business. The foster home have been working hard to figure out how to bring this little guy toMaPaw for the care he so desperately needs. The foster Dad is arranging to rent a car and travel down (rather than flying). He can bring him back next week and they will look after him and supervise his recuperation.

We have never said "no" because of money and we certainly do not want to say "no" to a young puppy who can have a full and healthy life. Right now, funds are low. Adoptions have been slow and the expenses never stop. We are presently checking with the foster families vet and sending him the x-rays for a tentative prognosis and estimate. The southern people are guessing at least $1500 for the surgery.

Biloxi's X-ray

If we can raise donations for this pup we can offer him a second leash on life. We hate begging - everyone does so much for the dogs and we appreciate that so much. We ask that you think good thoughts for this puppy and if you can make a small donation it will make a world of difference for him. MaPaw is a 501(c)3 rescue, so all donations are tax deductable.

Paypal donations can be made at www.sibes.com

On behalf of the puppy, thank woo:)

TRAINING AND RACING!!!!!

Hey everypupper, it's me Prince!!!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately but I've been keeping busy (and out of trouble!) training and racing.
I had my first race of the season a couple of weeks ago at our annual local race - the Sandy Point Scarper. I ran with my buddy Suggen in the two dog scooter class the first day and we got second!!! On the second day I ran with five of my friends in a six dog team and we got third!!! Our good friend Haakon ran us.

I'm busy training at the moment for an out of town race that's not too far away. I'm running with my buddy Suggen again in two dog scooter on both days (two heats). Our Mom is running us this time!!!

I'm training four days a week and having a few rest days in between.....boy do I love to run.

Our cousin Madison had her first ever race at the Scarper - she ran our friends dog (and our friend) Pharaoh in the Junior Under 10yr Single Dog Scooter race and she came 1ST!!! We were so proud of our girl, her's a few photos of her:

Just look at that smile:) The juniors have to have an adult go with them for safety reasons - they can either run, bike, scoot or they can even go on a three wheeled rig with the juniors.

That's it from me, I'm going to have some tea and then rest as I've been for a run tonight and I'm going again tomorrow night. Better re-fuel!!!

LASKA'S GREAT DISCOVERY!!!

Hi everypuppy, it's me Summer!

Our good friend Laska came to our place for a few hours on Sunday and she taught us something new. I bet all woo puppies would love to know about a treat that you can help yourself too anytime you like (at certain times of the year anyway)!

Laska can't see so her sense of smell is way better than most puppers. She was wandering around outside when something caught her snooter (well it didn't exactly 'catch' her snooter but the saying is 'something caught her eye' and she doesn't have eyes so it must have caught her snooter I guess.....ha roo roo). Our friend Ammy from the A04 will like that one!!!

Mom noticed Laska sniffing around and then she tried to climb onto the window ledge on the outside of our house.......she wondered what Laska was doing.

Here's Laska sniffing her new discovery......

'Mmmmm....I wonder what these little things taste like???'

'Prince and Summer, have a sniff of these:)'

'Mmmmm....they really do taste good - come on, join me!'

Prince tasted them and wasn't impressed at all. I thought they tasted pretty good. Poor Mom is worried that she's never going to have any cranberries now!!!

Thanks Laska for showing me where the treats are....I'm sure every other puppy wants their bipeds to get some cranberry trees too!

S.O.S - I need some help from all you
puppies out there....quick smart!!!

How am I going to get the cranberries
off the tree in the front garden?

Sometimes Mom lets me out there without a lead but she always tells me off if I walk on the garden and she always watches me......I need help now!!! How do I get Mom to let me out and then distract her so I can eat the cranberries??? I'll be waiting to hear from you!!!

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO LATELY???

Firstly we'd like to apologise to woo all on behalf of our Mom.....I'm sure all woo puppers understand it's not our fault we haven't been blogging much lately!!!

Our Mom has been busy.....she always manages to find time for the important things though - like looking after us:)

We've been doing some training for our upcoming race season - well one of us has been! The other one hasn't been running much as they don't like running unless their sibling is in the same team. We're not very well suited to running together so it's not good for the one of us that's a good runner to be training with the other this close to races commencing. When this certain pupper gets taken for a run with some of our friends they put their butt on the ground and won't move......they get dragged a little then roll over onto their back!!! Any guesses which one of us that would be?

Anywoo, onto what's been happening.....

Mom has painted a cool wolf canvas for our bedroom wall. Check this out:

One of our bestest friends Quiquern (our friend Laska's sister) had a sleepover at our place! Here's some photos of us together:)

Our Uncle Kayto came and stayed with us for a day.....the animal doctor had to take samples from his little footy foot for a biopsy and he needed to be supervised so he didn't pull his bandgae off to get to his stitches - so we got the job:) We love our uncle Kayto!!! Here's some photos:

Don't you think the photo below looks a bit like a mirror image?

I think that's about all we have to show woo for now.....we're going to write another blog about our friend Laska real soon.....she's a clever girl and has taught us something woo puppers might want to know about!!!

Stay tuned everypuppy!!!

Not Much Been Happening Round Here.....

Hey everypupper, it's me - your very own Princester!

We haven't been doing too much.....just hanging out really as woo can see.

We're in Autumn now but it has still been warmish, we've had a few runs to kick off our training for race season....not cold enough for my liking though. It's hard work I tell woo! Our daylight savings has ended (do woo puppers have daylight savings?), it's dark when we go for our runs at night so we have to have real good lights so we don't crash into any trees or run any slow puppers over cause we can't see them!

It's run night again tonight - bet some of you puppers are jealous! I'm sure woo would all love to run beside me in harness:) I'd like the extra help too!!!

WHAT A CROCK....Team Husky Style:)

Hi everypuppy, it's me Summer!!!

We've been really slack with our blog lately.....of course it's all hu-mom's fault!

Did you see Zim of the A04's blog titled 'What a Crock' a few weeks back? His Mom thought he looked like the guy off the Crocs logo. Our Mom took some photos of us the other day and she found this one of me and thought I looked more like that guy than Zimmie did:) If you haven't seen the logo have a look at Zim's post.

What do you puppies think? Do I look more like the Crocs logo guy than Zim? Maybe Zim and I are related - do you think we look alike everypuppy?
