Today is a fury special day in our house ~ it's Aunt Summer's Gotcha Day!

A little over five years ago Maw was lookin on da internet fur a furiend fur my Paw and she saw dis cute photo.....

So after a few weeks of phone conversations and emails wif da lady dat owned dis little girl, five years ago yesterday Maw made a trip to Christchurch to meet a da red headed girl that needed a new home, she was hopin she'd be a good companion for my Paw. She met Summer and loved her! Maw stayed wif Sum's owners dat night and Sum slept on da bed wif Maw. Da next day dey both made da 7-8 hour journey home where Prince and his furiend Tara was anxiously waitin to meet her. Dis was Aunt Summer when Maw first met her, she's wif da doggy Pepper and little boy Thomas she lived wif.....

When dey gots home Summer was an instant hit wif Paw ~ so much so dat no one in da house got any sleep for da first 24 hours.....Paw and Aunt Summer was too busy playin! Here is a few of Maw's fondest memories in da first few weeks dat Sum came to live at our house.....

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY AUNT SUMMER ~ I sure am glad Maw found woo cause yur da bestest Auntie and playmate in da whole wide world and I love woo lots and lots.....even though woo are bossy sometimes!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARA AND REFLECTING ON THE PAST YEAR!!!

This time last year Princey posted a happy birthday wish to our dear friend Ara. Ara is 16 years old today and is still a sassy little girl ~ you should see her do her little dance at dinner time! She is a very loving and loyal companion to her owners and is just so sweet. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET ARA.....

This time last year we were also saying goodbye to another dear friend, Kavic. Ara and Kavic were good friends, they lived together all their lives and shared a couch most days. Kavic was a special boy, the clown of the pack. He was happy-go-lucky and always wore his signature smile, he was a true blonde! He loved life and everyone that was a part of it.....

Who would have guessed this time last year that in a years time, our precious Prince would not be here with us. I often wonder why life throws us these curve balls, being here without Prince still hurts so much and feels so raw and unbearable at times. So much has happened in the past year, we have lost loved ones and at the same time made many new friends along the way. I guess life really does go on and we just have to pick ourselves up and carry on for the sake of the loved ones we still have with us.

Last week was a fury sad week fur us, we had to say goodbye to my GranPaw Que. He was almost 15 years old and he hadn't been feelin fury well, it was time fur him to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge.

I loved my GranPaw Que, I got da sillies when I was around him cause I wanted to be his furiend.....he didn't like it much and normally grumbled at me or told me off. I know dat under all dat he really loved me too though!!! Secretly I think I reminded him of himself when he was a youngin! Here's me tellin GranPaw recently dat I really am a good boy.....

Run free GranPaw Que, woo certainly earned yur silver harness! Woo will be up dere runnin around wif Ursa, Tev, Kavic, Blaze and lots of udder furiends and family includin my Paw Prince. We all think Paw would haf been surprised to see woo, he would have gone 'ah crap, what are woo doin here' and woo would have said da same back to him. We think dat woo two will become furiends now and woo might even go fur runs together!

I will miss woo GranPaw, I promise to make woo proud!

Today is my fury best furiend in the worlds birfday ~ HAPPY BIRFDAY ANGEL PRINCEY!!!

Princey and me shared some fun times together, we were always side by side and lookin out fur each other and our Mom. She always said we were like 'two peas in a pod'.

We had such a short time together but have so many memories and adventures to hold onto and treasure. Here are just a few of them:
